Why is BackerKit asking me to add funds when I already paid for my items and shipping during the Kickstarter campaign?

The most likely reason you’re being asked to add funds is that your original calculation of funds during the Kickstarter campaign was incorrect. Please follow the Pledge Calculator, found after the Stretch Goals on the campaign page, and all of its instructions to correctly calculate your total. NOTE: Shipping in the pledge tiers and shipping in the calculator (which is for add-on items ONLY to your most expensive item) did vary, and was likely the reason for your discrepancy. If you need help double-checking your math, reach out to me at [email protected].

Why is the shipping in the [insert item] reward tier more expensive than in the the pledge calculator?

The shipping within the reward tier is the base shipping price for that item, when shipped by itself or when it’s the most expensive item. The pledge calculator is for add-on items to your initial pledge tier, so sometimes the shipping is cheaper because you’re already shipping it with another item.

What do I do if there isn’t a reward tier that perfectly matches the combination of products I want?

Good question! Because there are endless combinations of designs, I couldn’t make a reward tier for every single one. That’s why I created the Pledge Calculator! If you scroll down past the Stretch Goals, you’ll be able to see a set of instructions and a chart that shows how to calculate your pledge based on the products you want. If you have any questions or need help figuring this out, email me at [email protected] and I’d be happy to assist!

Will these be available in your online store?

As of right now, these designs are only available via this Kickstarter and the pre-order store. If I have stock left over after sending product to my backers then I might list it in my online store, but the only way to guarantee getting any of this merch is to be a backer! The pre-order store will close on August 31st, 2020.

Will you be making a design of [insert song here]?

The designs shown are the only designs I have planned for right now. That may change depending on the success of the Kickstarter, but I can’t promise any additional designs or products added. I hope you’re able to find something you like in the designs I have offered!

Why is shipping outside of the United States so expensive?

Unfortunately the rates I’ve set are in compliance with the rates the United States Postal Service sets to send packages out of country, and are dependent on the weight and sizes of the packages being sent. I wish these costs weren’t so high, but it’s sadly out of my hands.

Are these official merch items?

I am in no way affiliated with the band and am not working for them in any capacity on this merch line. This line is merely a small tribute to their incredible career, made and designed by an independent artist who’s been a fan for more than 15 years!

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
